My name is Lawrence Moy Hing, your personal photographer. I am the lead photographer and director at Lawrence Moy Hing Photography Ltd for over 16 years. My wife, Mariana, is my other half whom I was super lucky to get married to in 2011. We have two children, Sanjana and Sanjay, and our German Shepherd protector, Sky.

Together, we represent a melting pot of multi-cultural influences that bring about that true Caribbean flavour. Our family works together as a team to bring about a dynamic force that is creative and professional. 

My Style

I prefer a traditional style with a clean, timeless look mixed with a modern, contemporary flair. I try to capture the magic as it happens, as well as create magic on my own.

Many times clients remark over my ability to capture a seemingly magical moment in great lighting, and are amazed when I explain that the person in the photograph didn't just happen to be in great light, with a natural pose, and a fantastic expression. If it is there, I will surely capture it, but I prefer to make sure my clients look their best and have lasting moments that continue to wow for generations to come.

I look to make people shine brighter than before by allowing them to look and feel beautiful, and in turn create powerful, visual stories and lasting memories. 

Accolades

Some of my work has been included in international magazines, and my commercial work can be seen on display in some of the prominent malls in Trinidad. I also work for the office of the President of Trinidad & Tobago as one of their two official photographers for diplomatic events. I've won the AMPOTT Professional Portrait Photographer award in 2008 and remain it’s reigning holder. 

Training

I have been formally trained by WPPI and PPA international Double Grandmaster Jerry Ghionis, considered by many to be one of the top 5, if not the top wedding photographer in the world; WPPI and PPA Master of Photographic Excellence, Tony Corbell, and Internationally renowned Commercial and Corporate photographer and educator, Don Giannatti.

Training with the some of the best in the industry has provided me with the photographic skills and experience to perform on a world stage.

Mentoring

I've spent a great deal of time mentoring upcoming photographers and assisting others where possible as I remember how difficult it was to obtain the right information when I started. My first studio has also hosted international photography workshops in Trinidad with award winning photographers like Tony Corbell, and Doug Gordon who I invited to Trinidad to instruct local Caribbean photographers. I continue to provide mentorship to photographers on social media as well as in-person as I believe that by uplifting the craft, we all benefit.
